everybodys different in my opinion seated is more isolated but standing will kinnda let you rock out a few extra reps wheres its harder to do that sittin down? i duno tho
they are the same movement so its personal preference which one you choose. One versus the other wont recruit any more or less muscle fibers. As far as cheating goes on the exercise, someone can find a way to cheat on either one.
