    lowering weights

    im doing this new thing now where i take one dumbell do five reps with it and take another lighter weight and do about 12 directly after......any thoughts, i think its working pretty well...especially incline press with DBs...

    LOL, kinda funny cause its far from new, i assume new to you.

    these are called descending sets or strip sets or drop sets. I use them ALL the time and are my fav intensefier.

    Some quick tips:

    1. Some people say that if you can do more than 5 reps with your first drop your missing the point i.e. your going to light, I dont I do whatever I feel like and I might even do a double drop or triple drop set. just depends.

    2. I would also use them only on your last set, they aren't ment to use for every set, i think this would lead to overtraining.

    ive actually tried to stop using this technique as often and try to go all out in my reg working sets.

    sure you already knew this just thought id put it out there..........

    you should also check out "rest pause" sets as well they are another fav of mine.
