    which routine is better

    mon chest tris
    tues back bis
    wed rest
    thurs shoulders and traps
    fri rest
    sat legs plus traps
    sunrest
    or
    on an 8 day split
day 1 chest and tris(light tris work)
    day2back bis(light bi work)
    day3rest
    day4shoulders
    day5rest
    day6arms
    day7legs
    day8rest
I am trying to get my traps and arms bigger but i am stuck between these two routines and cant decide. would the extra arm day possibly give me better results or am i better off working out with the first scheme just doing a more intense workout on tris and bis on thier respective days following chest and back?

anyone have experience with working their arms after chest and back and also giving them their own day? Is this possibly overtrainig? Thanks look forward to responses

I would try both and see what works best for you. Its all trial and error. I HAVE to hit chest twice a week or it starts lagging. I dont do that for all body parts.

yes, do both and see what works. I am always switching up my work outs every 3 months or so. I personally don't like doing back/bis and chest/tris combos. When I first started, yes, but now a good back work out wears down my bi's and and the same with chest, wears out my tris. If I hit back/tris and chest/bis I can get so much more out of the arms during the work out. I will eventually get bored of that and/or "use to it" and have to switch up again to shock the muscle. Experiment, see what works for you. GL

also, IMHO isolating your traps is a joke and pointless, hit them hard with either your back work out or your shoulder work out or both but to isolate them and do them with legs seems silly to me. I do upright rows with shoulders and they respond well.
