okay say my triceps are sore and today is my bench day, should i give my body another day of rest if my triceps are sore or go ahead with the workout anyway, ive just started back on a bodybuilding type regimen for now so i was just wondering

Did you work out your tri's the day before your chest day? Or are they still sore from a few days ago?

Workout Your triceps together with Your chest on the same day, You wont have that problem.
I would not workout a sore muscle...
