chest workout lost strength week later

I did my chest workout which is:
Flat BB bench press (4) 10,9,8,7
Icline BB bench press (3) 8,6,6
    Dips 12,11,10
And a week later when I did my chest workout again I was stronger in the dips but weaker at the flat and incline bench press I did less reps I don't understand how I was weaker. The only thing I can think of is that my body responds better to reps of 9 -12. But surely I should have gone up atleast 1 rep.

You shouldn't have lost anything. Go to the Diet Section and get a good diet going.

^^^^right. You cant automatically say its your workout...it might be, that might not be the workout for you but there are many many other factors.

You know sometimes I just have a bad day at the gym and my workout is not as good. Other days I am superman and I can do better in every exercise. A lot of it can be in your head. I think one down day is way to early to tell anything, if a pattern develops then you need to change something up. Diet, rest, training can all be factors but so can getting in a fight with your girlfriend or stress from work.

believe it or not it's a lot of mental, also your diet for that day may have been poor, not much carbs in your system, there are a lot of factors dude just next time make sure to eat right and maybe don't jump up on the weight so fast
