new program needed
I'm interested in trying to make a rugby team in the fall. My goal is to gain strength and increase my muscle mass..I've looked at a lot of programs and the 5x5 style program looks pretty interesting...However, I'm a little worried that I would be neglecting a lot of smaller muscle groups on a program like this...ie) calves, neck, forearms, hamstrings etc..Is there any 3day split program similar that might offer bodybuilding type exercises in addition to the major compound lifts, without overtraining?.

there is an IMPORTANT thread that was posted by pinnacle that has a shit load of various traing techniques, you should check it out, also there are alot of powlifting programs laid out by doc.sust that might help you as well, do a search and see what you can find.
