NEED HELP! CHEST IS LAGGING and Won't GROW

My chest is by far the most lagging part of my physique. On top of that, I can't get that round, full look. What type of training can I do to get that fullness? I've heard dumbells are best to use working the chest. Any suggestions? Maybe split routine? Hit it twice a week? I kill my chest and lift heavy, just get no full, dense results. What is going on?

    Thx for n e help

you look like a good sized guy in your avatar.

d e p ends, I did d-bells when bodybuilding but since i switched to powerlifting it's straight up longbar.

I would alternate every week or 2 to hit different parts.

Well I've always had a lagging chest, but i've torn something in my shoulder so it's hard for me to do presses now. But I do incline on the hammer machine and straight/flat on the hammer. Takes some of the stress off of my shoulder. Then i do cable flies, upper and lower. It kills to do any presses like bench or DBs on my shoulder. To the point where im scarred im going to tear something. im open to any alternatives. I think though im going to try to work throgh the pain and just do DBs.

I had the same problem for years until I started doing strict 15 degree decline barbell presses followed by strict fflyes with a pinky twist bringing the hands below the nipple line during the contraction......

The secret to getting a bigger fuller chest..........inclines, inclines and more inclines. Start doing incline db presses, bb presses and incline db flys and keep changing the degree of the bench. Add more inclines to your routine and start doing drop sets and you should be on your way.

Yea, my chest used to suck. I just stuck to 4 working sets of 2 heavy presses (incline then flat) and 2 laterals (flys and pullovers) for 1 year and I got a pretty good chest now. I used to do a lot more, so actually my chest grew when I cut out some exercises.

your right, most people do too much for the chest. the chest dosent need 20+sets, unless your a genetic freak.
