I've had that pain really bad and it's inhibiting my growth. I tried elbow supports and they don't help. The best thing so far i've found is ASPIRIN. Aspirin will have no negative effects on your body like Ibuprophren and Acetominophine do and it's great for joint pain. I pop a few before I lift and I have no pain. People wouldn't normally think it would work but an OT I know went to a conference and learned all about it. I've tried Vicodin and Percuset but Aspirin works much better.

Also, try starting out with an extremely light weight and knocking out a couple sets of 25 to warm up your joints, sometimes it helps

I started takin' 5 mg 2x a day of mobic. BOOM! I'm good forever. But make sure you start off with high reps first to get your joints warmed up.

To deal with the inflammed tendons, I have gotten cortizone injections for it before but that shit scares me.

Dude it sucks, I have had the same problem for about 5 years. I am unable to do skullcrushers any more. I do other exercies but will no longer do skull crushers, which sucks because I really loved them.

I have the same problem but on the opposite side of the elbow. Can't do curls, or pulling exercises. That means I always get a lousy back and biceps workout.
Gonna try aspirin as Superhuman suggested.

go to a chiropractor who does Active Release Technique (ART). it will move the healing process along very quick.

while doing active rehab find any exercies which wont effect the inflammed area. ive had it in both elbows at the same time a few times. work around it.

if you are having trouble with back try all the different hand positions available from every angle. you'll find ones that dont hurt and use them till youre rehab is done. could take a few months or longer.

I've been having some serious pain in the inside of my elbow lately. I wan to give the Asprin a try... How much should I take? Two about 45mins prior to lifting?

I have this really bad from playing water polo for years... really the only thing that works for me is Naproxen. The only downside is that i have asthma and it is a little rough on the lungs--- but, it does cure the pain

I was doing 4 aspirin about 1hr before my workouts, but I recently went to the doc and got x-rays. He told me alieve is much better for this and to take only 2 every day, even on off days. With the medicine the pain is much less, but it's still there and I can't do heavy triceps on ANYTHING except for dips. This really sucks because my tris need to get bigger! On the plus side, it's been forcing me to hit my chest a lot harder so my chest has been growing like crazy!

I have had the same problem on the outside of my right elbow for about 3 years. In that time I have seen Doctors and physical therapists, in addition to trying every differnet kind of strap and contraption (those dont work by the way). Oh yea, I also tried accupunctre (waste of time).

I have talked to people who say that surgery helps but it's a very invasive procedure.

I have tried Cortizone shots (tempory solution but totally removes the pain and may have long term sides)

For me the pain is significantly less while I am on a cycle (probably due to increased water retention).

I also learned a series of tendon warm up excercises that really helps. Essentially I do several very light sets of wrist curls wrist extentions and rotations (roll the wrist from pronated to supinated). This seems to loosen up the tendons and almost completely removes the pain. Keep the weight very light and do high reps. This works every time for me.

I hope this helps someone because I know first hand how much this type of injury can suck. The best solution for me has been the excercises.

Massage therapy has helped me...but it has to be deep tissue and it hurts like a MF.

Also, try stretching the area. Find out which movements will stretch the tendons in your elbow and forearm.

    Hope this helps...

cortizone shots cannot be done on the primary tricep tendon, could cause it to rupture

hgh and igf-1 is notorious for causing joint pain. When I was running growth at 4IUs a day my pain became unbearable
