ice, bro! no heat. holy f i know what you're going through. as much of a pain in the neck (pun intended) it is do yourself a favor and allow recovery time. i pulled mine while doing tricep pull downs and got back in the gym a couple days later and pulled the other side when i sneezed - talk about pissed. take care of it and if you can see get a massage and do light resistance excersices on it over a couple weeks before you get back in hard. Maybe just get in there and do legs.

Go get it diagnosed. If its a muscles spasm like i get all the time its better to get back in the gym asap. If its not a spasm or its too painfull then take some time off. Take some muscle relaxants and stretch it with chin to collar bone type of hold.

I have had that happen before, I pinched a nerve apparently in my neck. I couldn't turn my head to the left was kinda funny watching me turn my whole body left -.- Anyways give it 3-5 days you should be fine.

I had the same problem. I messed it up while doing shrugs. It was one of my upper ribs. I dislocated it somehow. I went to mt chiro and she fixed it right quick. Now it took a few few month to fix totally but it was 90% better in own visit.
    Hope this helps.
