What was your first "big" goal?
Just curious as to what people recall as the first big goal the set for themselves in this lifestyle and how vividly they recall achieving it (if they have yet) and how it affected their progress from then on. Me, I started hitting the weights about six months before my 18th b-day at 6'1" and a SKINNY 165. My goal was to bench press plates for one rep (didn't even know it as 135). So, i benched three times a week, friday being a monster day of loading up as many 5 pound plates on the bar as I could handle and then doing one huge stripset. I made it, but a day late:mad: Anyway, despite being a day late that made me hungry to hit more and more goals...eventually yielding about 80 extra pounds on to that bone structure that I cursed throughout high school (late bloomer i guess)
I'm always lookign for little anecdotes to inspire my newbie friends and such, so, anyone care to share?
