    Injured tendons in foot

I have been running for about 4 weeks now on my last running session I did interval training 400m fast jog then 100m sprint. Finished the running fine then after about 10mins of being home it just suddenly hit me I couldn't walk from the pain in my foot. The doctor said I had pulled the tendons in my foot and that it would heal in a few days but it has been a week and still hurting. I can't even go to the gym because it's in to much pain to train. Do any of you guys no what I could do I hate not training it's driving me insane.

well when you pull a tendon in your foot you lose your arch support and it hurts to walk since you have no spring action. Hypothetically you could wrap it up with an ace bandage and limp around in the gym and train upper body/abs. I would personally take another week off, keep a clean diet and recover, then ease back into it. I shadowed a pediatrist this past winter and the patients that came in with chronic foot pain had not let their arches heal correctly and simple overstretched the tendons to a point of no return without surgery.

Does anyone know how long this will take to heal because I need to get back into running because I am joining the army. I have already had over a week off and it hasn't gotten any better.

What are you waiting for? Go to a pediatrist. He may recommend an airsoft cast, or you might need surgery? Hope all goes well.
