    Another AM Cardio/Fat loss Question... This is Different, but the same!!!

    Hey guys,

    I know this is being asked over and over and over again; I know because I just reviewed a shit load of Threads, however, I am in a different boat than most of you...

    A quick recap ( I have not been on in a while, nor am I an active poster since I don't have much to offer):

    6+ years ago I was in a car accident, I broke my neck in 3 places, blew 5 disks out starting from the tail bone up, dislocated both clavicles, ripped both rotators cuffs (left and right), Brain Damage ( I now suffer from loss of my immediate memory at times) Blah Blah Blah, the list continues... Prior to this I was an avid power lifter, with limited used on the Juice...

    Now that I have been cleared by my Doctor, I am hitting the Gym, and there is a GREAT need to do so... I have gained about 80lbsfrom the accident and my BF% is through the roof, though I have never been a Vascular build, always had the Power lifter build and am happy with that (I like Brick Shit House size, lol) but my BF has NEVER been this high of course... I am so Pissed...

    Anyway, I have been in the Gym now for about 4 months focusing on my BF%... I am doing my Cardio first thing in the morning,1 hour -/+ on the Tred, elliptical, stairs, ect, I like to mix it up... I eat a High Pro/Fat meal right after the cardio.. I just feel that the loss is not there like I want it to be... What am I doing wrong!!! I am hoping to start my Bulking Cycle soon, but I just want to get the BF down somemore... Grrr...

    Right now I am a Full Time student, so along with work and school, I don't get much free time, but I do put it aside for the Gym, it does however make it hard for me when it comes to meals, so I eat out a lot, places like Golden Coral ( I can only imagine what your thinking, lol ), but I do still keep a strong eye on my Carbs and Pros... Any advice there???

    Hey bud,

    1st off let me say that despite what you've been through youve got a great sense of humor/humility, so no matter what you'll do fine.

    IMO, I think that (if I read correctly) You've jumped on the clen T-3 combo to soon, cause youve only been going at it for 4 months or so. but whatever its not a huge deal, Patience is virtue, It took you longer than 4 months to get into your current shape so you might have to wait a bit to get back to where you once were. (easier said than done)

    as far as an "atkins" style, I hate the diet, it sucks, It does work but not the greatest way to loose weight, IMO it is a lot easier to platue faster.

    soooo,,,,, Read through the stickys if you havent already, Try to formulate a plan that incorportates a ratio of PRO/CHO/Fat at like 40/40/20. Stick with whole grain/high fiber sources of carbs and try to eat however many within the first 3-4 meals of the day.

    This advice is a super basic idea, dont take it as gospel. Good luck bro keep us updated.

    Question,

    If my THR is 140/BPM then my 75% is 105/BPM... The problem is, I can't keep it that LOW, I am always around 130/BPM if not at 100%/THR-140/BPM...

    HOW do I keep my HR around 105/BPM or 75%???? If I am doing 45min on the Tred, Bike, whatever @ 130/BPM to 100%/THR is this BAD!!??

    220-age(35)=185 THR

    so .70 (cause this is where fat is burned at its highest eff)= 130 BPM

    BUT, Dont be a slave to this #. This is just a ref point, since your trying to get back into the swing of things i would have you work at a higher pace. That way you can burn more calories overall which yes will burn up more glycogen but also burn fat faster as well to. Once we get your muscle built back up and your bf% lower we can start to decrease the intensity.

    So what to do?? Intervals. Increase the intensity but also bring it back down to a lower rate. you should be floating between a hurried powerwalk pace and a light jog pace with the occational 10-30 sec run/light sprint pace and back down again. studies show intervals can actually keep your metabolizm boosted throught the rest of the day at a higher rate than a solid pace.

    I think your formula was wrong. hope this cleared it up.

    Just got back from the GYM... To recap, I am only doing Cardio to lower my BF% before hitting my Bulking Cycle...

    Anyways, I was in there for an Hour, I did 20min on the Bike, 20min on the Elliptical, and 5min on the Tred to warm down (it is the only one that does not shut down if the RPM get low)...

    My HR avg from 145/BPM to 176/BPM, but I mostly floated around 155/BPM-/+... The Elliptical is where I climbed to 176/BPM. but I felt fine, so I went with it... Before packing it in, I was at 133-144/BPM on the Tred...

    Right now as I type this, my HR is 108/BPM; aprox 20min from when I left the Gym... I have yet to Shower or Eat, so I am Off...


    Comments???

    Question, what should I eat after a Cardio W/O and what Supps should I take??? I ask, because I am NEW to the Fat Burning/ Cardio thing; it was something I really never had to worry about in my PL days... What more should I be doing / taking / ect... Should I incorporate some Weight Training after the Cardio???

    Help here would be Great because everything I am finding is for guys that are not int he same situation that I am in, meaning with my kind if Weight, BF, Injury, Gym Down Time, issues... I am not meaning to belittle anyone here regarding their Issues Hurdles, fare from it, I just seem to be in a different boat and that boats is almost to little for my Fat ass

    Why are you giving up so easily?
    This isn't going to come off after 3 weeks.
    I been cutting for more than 6 weeks and still cutting. Im losing about
    1-1 1/2 pounds per week. Comming along great, glad im not losing 10 pounds a week.
    Keep your goal in mind and stay strict to a diet.
    Don't go out and eat pre-make all your food and be consistent.

    No, not giving up, but Damn I just hate starting all over like this.... Like I was never in the gym... Like I never knew Shit!!! I just feel like I am doing it all wrong...

    Yeah, my main issue I am seeing is that I Work Full Time and go to School Full Time, so I find myself eating out ALL the time... Now mind you, I am NOT eating SHIT, ie- Mc D's. B-King ect, but I still knwo the food is not as if it were Home made...

    Just premake your food and keep it in a ziplock bag.
    I premake all my bison meat and when I head to my FT job in the morn i eat every 2-3 hours.
    I premake all my food and use ziplock bags to hold it in my backpack so I can stay on top of it.
    Sure I'd love to go get a juicy beef sandwhich with cheese, but Thats once a week 1 meal if i even did, it be early in the day.
    Depends on how bad you want this, fight the urge and be disciplined.
    Some of us arn't blessed with awesome genetics.
    Keep your head up and go just premake your food the night before.
    I probably spend like 50$ a week just on bison and I use my foreman grill to cook it, works great. Im not a cook but I manage.

    So what does your pre packed meals consist of??? I was doing it for a while, but it was so tasteless and it would get old an spoil fast.... I just cant eat every 2 to 3 hours... I am never Hungry like that... Now back when I PL I was eating like a Pig, but that was of course different.... Now to be honest with you, I only eat once a day maybe twice a day... I am just not that hungry... Yeah I know it is killing my Metabolism, but if I eat so much I get the Shits and get sick to my stomach...

    Could someone Help me out with a GOOD Diet while I am doing my Cardio W/O....?

    Bison.
    I had a very very hard time finding it, but its the leanest.
    I get mine from Whole foods in Chicago..
    Its $6 a pound.
    Bison is tastless but im eating for my diet not for taste.
    I personally like all my food whole not processed.

    Eating right for BB is not cheap by any means.
    I drink 1-2 gallons of water a day, eat 6 times a day.
    Doing all that cardio without proper food nutrion will eat away at more than just fat.
    You need to eat every couple of hours to get in proper nutrients, proteins, carbs, fats. etc....
    This way your body is working more and more to process and breakdown food.
    I used to eat 3 times a day until I got really heavy into it.
    Also my 6 meals are not full blown means.
    For instance 1 Meal is

    8 oz Bison (weighed raw)
    1/2 cup of spinach.
    1/2 Cup of brown rice
    Just enough to get my protein in and my carbs in early.

    Diet depends on your goals.

    Today I did another 10min on the Bike to start the day off, then I moved on to the Elliptical for 30min, then to warm down I did the Tred for 5 Min... My HR avg 145 to 176 BPM... I really like the Ellip., but it keeps my HR high for the time I am on, around 176 to 185 BPM, but like I said, I have no issue with it, I don't get light headed or sick, I just get a little winded and dry mouthed...

    Again I ate out, about 3 hrs after my Cardio W/O....

    I ate:

    Steak
    Collared greens
    White Beans
    Red Onions
    Unsweet Tea

    Then Studied (at the restaurant, I am cool with them that way)

    The had some:
    Tuna Salad with some Pasta (mixed with Mayo, Green Pepper, White Onions, Carrots Shavings and eggs)
    Unsweet Tea

    Then Studied some more

    Then ate some:

    Chile mixed with White Rice, White Onions, a little Sour Cream, Hot Sauce
    Unsweet Tea

    Might sound like a lot, well I guess it was, I am Dieing, but it was little portions of each and I was there for about 4 Hours...

    Can someone help me work out a diet plan, cuz like I said, I am not too good at the Fat loss thing... It would also help if you kept in mind that I ate out a lot, but when I say ate out, I mean decent food, NOT SHIT...

    What Pre and Post A.M. Cardio W/O supps should I take??? I read that BCAA, Retain, and Yohimbe would be good for PRE W/O, what else???

    Right now I am taking Lions T3/Clen and Centrum!!!
