cardio at night?
ok here it is i know cardio first thing when you wake up on a empty stomach is the best but i start work at 230-1030 pm so im usually up at about 9 am eat breakfast wait 2 hours or so go to the gym because my gym closes at 10 and its only time i have to get my weight training session in so if i got home from work and hitup the track right near my house say 2 miles a night that would help lower bf% right without burning muscle? and say drank a protien shake or something before bed

Have you considered post work out cardio? You should have your glycogen and blood suger low after a good work out and this will also help beurn fat better. Not as good as AM, but its prob a close second.

any cardio is better then none. If at night is your only option then do it up.

i have considered a post workout cardio but the thing with that is after i train im always to spent to put another 30 mins in on the treadmill maybe ill try to give it a shot since it would be more affective on burning fat than at night before bed

As long as your diet is in check I dont see a problem doing cardio at night other than maybe not being able to get to sleep. I would suggest doing it after your workout like kynetguy said.

Night cardio is great!
It permits you to better process the day's calories, preps you for sleep (as long as you have a half hour buffer, and wind down protocol), ushers your body into the overnight fasting state.
An old friend of mine lived (for 3yrs) in an apartment with a well equiped fitness center (two of each - bikes, treads, stairs & tvs). It also had a hardwood, fiberglassed backboard, half-court. I got a copy of the key when he moved, and enjoyed it for another 16mths, until they finally changed the locks. I miss those nights.Master Pai Mei of the White Lotus Clan
