cardio for about a week....your probably doing too much too fast...you gotta ramp it up slowly or you'll be sore as hell..

You aren't used to it, why dont you try a lower impact exercise like the bike for a while.

    thanks for the input fellas.

it just started doing it. i play baseball on the weekends and about a week ago i was running the bases and it happened. been doing it ever sense. i took three ibuprofins and it goes away. I have gained weight but didnt think it would matter this much. i was going to start doing cardio to see if that would help but it hurts the same as running the base path.

perhaps you should try an elliptical machine for a while, you can work up a decent cardio workout with little to no impact.

Same thing happened to me once I stopped runnign and tried to start back up. You need to build up, also it could be your shoes.

too much too fast. Start by doing a nice jog, then walk, then jog, walk, etc. Don't over do it. Should go away with time. Also be sure to get a relly solid pair of running shoes and this should go away.

it is called shin splints... basically you need to run on softer surfaces e.g. grass, sand...

this can cause alot of pain.. alot...

could also be the way you are running..

try the softer surfaces first.. as this does reliave alot of pressure.

surface def plays a role... proper form is very important... research and polish your stride....

proper warm ups... proper cool downs... good stretch
