Did you ever try this?
I like this one workout I am doing. Basically combining barbell curl with shoulder press standing.
So I would grab the barbell, go 2 sec up on the curl then from the top position slowly press the bar up above my head then go back to the beginning of the rep the same way you got to the top.
Continious movement is the key here, so you don't stop at top of the rep or at any point. You go till you fail.
Very intesnse when done properly with strick form and good intensity.
