Cortisol in the A.M. & A.M. workouts
The J O B has me missing some of my workouts in the evening. Can't have that and was thinking about getting up at 5AM from now on instead. Wondering about the cortisol levels and the relationship to working out.
Given that cortisol levels are higher in the morning and lifting also increases cortisol levels is lifting in the evening more advantageous than an AM workout?
A layman guess would be that if your cortisol levels are higher in the morning and then you workout on top of that then you would have some extra catabolic activity going on. I am not worrying about that AM cardio discussion, I am talking weight training specifically.
