If you type this whole phrase into google:
North American Association for the Study of Obesity, subjects aged 40 to 75 were instructed to do 60 minutes of aerobic exercise per day for 6 days per week for an entire year.
Youll find tons of articles citing that as reason for 60 min low intensity cardio being "pointless" and that its all about 20 minute interval training. This reminds me of that "Body for Life" book that said after 20 minutes, you lose too much muscle.
Can someone just explain to me how this is all wrong, I mean it already sounds wrong to me just because high intensity burns a lot of carbs instead of fat, and because I thought your body chooses to keep muscle over fat, making that after 20 min stuff a big lie.
I found this because I was trying to see if cycling was effective, and read that it was NOT if you are going up and down various hills, because apparently cardio needs a "steady pace". aka interval training is NOT good because its not steady...but isnt biking still good??
