    Using a Weight belt

I've been using a belt for a while when it comes to back days but I noticed that when I wear my belt on my biceps day im able to use more weight than if I did not wear the belt.

My question: Even though Im wearing the belt and can lift more will that negatively effect gains at all or is it better to not use a belt? Just looking to what would help me get bigger faster, belt no belt?

use the belt on these lifts only, squats, deadlift or deadlift variations, barbell rows, over the head presses or military presses, and thats it, i use it on the press , but most people dont have to. definitely not for biceps or smaller muscle groups or isolation movements. belt should be used for heavy compound movments and used when needed, not all the time, no reason to belt up on warmups or light sets. there is an advantage to training with out a belt and using it sparingly as possible. your core strength will become much stronger
