    Cardio Before or After @#$!

i had a debate over this issue with my workout partner ...
if we're looking to slim down, lower body fat, supersets ...basically
    work out for lean muscle
when we began cardio, such as jogging/sprinting for 3.0 miles or so

should we do that as soon as we get in the gym BEFORE we lift weights
or should we do it AFTER we are done with our routines ??

    P.S
are you suppose to work out ABS every single day you hit the gym if you want results .. basically is it one of those muscles that can handle being worked out everyday

my cardio is really intence so it has to be done after i lift, all my training buddies are the same
WEIGHTS FIRST/CARDIO NEXT-it does all depend on the person though,i work my abs with weight evey other day

you shouldnt do intense cardio after training as it becomes anaerobic extending your body's training that much longer. pwo cardio should not be intense if maximum fat loss/muscle maintenance is the goal.

cardio should never be done before weights unless lifting heavy and getting bigger is not your goal.

that poses a huge problem because i work out basically 5 days a week ?? if i wanna get lean muscle instead of working out for strength i cant just do cardio two days a week and even if i did i would be in the gym 7 days a week?

yeah keep the intense cardio for your off days...when i was doing it every day i always did it first thing in the morning, but i would go for a brisk walk for an hour or so nothing too intense...if before or after your work out is the most convenient option i would do it after, personally.

your big on doing cardio do completly away from lifting example run earlier morning left at night... but cardio on lift days is the best.. if your trying to burn fat max sure you know what your heart needs to be at to maximize i believe its 220-age *.65 where your heart rate should be.... go through the forums lots of info here.. do a search.

yes i do, so no cardio anytime soon...but i made this thread because my workout partner and i were agruing over when is the best time to do cardio when we want to cut up sometime around spring break of 08 ....and i actually thought before a workout, and he said definitely after...but most people seem to lend towards after...so when the time comes, i'll probably go with that
