    bench press @!#@

    i have a question.....for my chest routine ...my stats 5'6 155lbs 13.5% bf
i like to start out with a warm up set on FLAT BENCH
    then
    1st do 175 - 10
    2nd 185 - 8
    3rd 195- 6
    4th 205-4

now depending on when i work out , what i ate, or even if i took a couple days off ... im not able to reach those numbers ...for example
    if i do 1st set for 10..
    then 2nd for 6 ....
what should i do with my 3rd set ??? not move up weight, move up 5 pounds ?? i want to improve strength...!!
and i have no idea what to do when i can't reach 8 reps on that 2nd set ??

im curious to what part of the question made you think i dunno anything about anything?? and telling me to read like i havent read about my routine or even posted about my routine to get opinions, you might as well not even respond to my post...
i was simply asking if i can't get to the number of reps i want to get to, should i still increase my weight the NEXT rep.. i didnt know that was a dumb quesiton

the part of the question that maeks you think that you need help is your routine itself, no offense, but you dont have a clue if you are looking for strength using some ancient pyramid tyoe training. you want to get strong, stop what you are doing, read the ryan kennely bench press routine i have posted in the powerlifting forum, once you do that, pm me and i will help you set up the program. if youy want to get strong, you have to "think outside the box", stop using BBing like routines, and listen to others who have been down this road before.
