anybody ever do dumbell curls and bring the weight up past the shoulders? wouldnt this just give your bicep a second to rest? and is it agood exercise

i kind of thought the guy was crazy who told me about it anyone else
bringing it up past the shoulders means your swaying your shoulder carriage up as well and your elbows will be moving forward..i dont see a point in it although i do see many guys do bb curls to their forehead for some reason....never my thing
