I'm sure you all are familiar with a peice of eqipment called the "Arm Blaster." It is used for biceps when doing standing barbell or dumbell curls and creates a strict isolated movement much like preacher curls. Also, like preacher curls, it provides good isolation of the lower biceps. It can also be used to provide a strict movement when doing cable pressdowns, but I have never seen anyone do this and the rare times i see anyone use it it is always for the biceps. My question too you is this: Is it any good or is it a peice of crap? I used to use it a few years ago pretty often after I saw Arnold using it and talking it up, but I only used it because I absolutely dreaded preacher curls. But, as I usually do with exercises I hate, I began to do preacher curls alot and then actually got good at them and very fond of them. Also, recently a buddy of mine at my gym who is a competitive bodybuilder told me that the armblaster was just and "old fad" that a company paid arnold to use for pictures and advocate to his fans and fellow bodybuilders so they could make money even though he didn't really use it. But today, I busted it out again for the first time in forever and did high rep alternate dumbell curls with it and it provided a great pump and burn my biceps haven't had in a while. I am also trying to fill the "biceps gaps" I have and this hit my lower biceps good it felt like. What do you think...in regards to the arm blaster?....yay...nay...or just gay?
