    Streching and Bodybuilding

Well, i`m becoming quite stiff (Because of more muscle I guess).
I am training mon-wen-fri, and I am free in the weekend.
I know that streching is a bad idea right afterwards a workout session because then the muscle takes longer time to rebuild itself.

Question is: Can I have a 20-30 minutes long streching workout each sunday, without it diminishing my results in bodybuilding?

I wanna be more flexible, but I want to keep on getting more muscle

Where did you read stretching is bad for you after a workout?

It can help with recovery and open blood flow for the shuttling of nutrients and the removal of lactic acid.

Just be careful if stretching before a simple warmup...

Theres a difference between stretching and extreme stretching after a workout. Moderate stretching is not going to interfere with muscle recovery like extreme stretching can. One of my female friends, who's also a personal trainer, makes good money by stetching out bodybuilders once a week on non-training days. She charges $50 for a 30 minute sessions and many are paying up because she can stretch those muscle out a whole better than they can. She's done me a few times for free and it feels great. It's a good pain.

Either way, with more muscle size comes a loss in flexibility. And flexibility is determined by genetics to a large degree. I would not worry too much about it because too much flexibility can cause unstable joints.
