Try this technique, I do this all the time.

Stand facing a wall about 2 feet, lift your hand till they're 90 dgrees to your body, while the tips of your fingers are touching the wall.

Now, try to push your body forward, rolling your hand inward towards your palm. You will feel the knuckles pushing against the wall till you get to your wrist, increase distance from the wall and repeat exercise.

Right on, bro. There is no doubt about it, farmer's walk FTW.

Also, lose straps on any lifting or pulling you're doing. It will help.

^How so, bro? Just being able to overload on very heavy weights? Or due to an injury? Straps always use to put a lot of pressure on my wrists on heavy sets.

Once I stopped using straps my grip and forearms got much stronger.

i notice my grip was getting weak as well. so i got the straps and worked wonders. but my grip was still weak. so i started more grip exercisers. my grip strength went up while i didnt go down on weight with my deadlifts. there good for that short fix but thats it.

Lose the straps. Although they will help you to move some weight, they will weaken your grip.

squeeze a handball throughout the day. Just while you are walking down the street. it's better then the springs.

I do MMA and one of hands down best grip workouts is towel pull ups. Grab a bath towel throw it over a pull up bar wrap it around twice one one side so that the towel is in front of the bar with two grip points, and well pull up. That exercise will help you out great.

i found when i first started, i was gripping near my knuckles.

when i lifted weight off, it would pull my wrists.

now, i place the bars/weights on my palm. so the weight is over the wrist, rather than up the hand bending my hand/wrist back....

i also don't wrap my thumb around the bar. i keep it with the other 4 fingers. it's odd at first, but it made a huge different in comfort when lifting....

    Bad advice.

If you are currently using straps then stop. I use to use straps on all of my heavy lifts and it kills my grip strength. When i was younger i could hardly deadlift 250lbs without having my grip give out. I backed out on the weight and totally eliminated using straps. Over the next few years my grip is no longer a problem. I can easily grip 405+ without my grip giving out.

I also feel that gloves can cause the bar to slip more as well. The only thing i use for my heavy lifts is a little bit of chalk.

I only use the straps for back workouts. Walk around with some VERY heavy dumbells at your side. You can also Grip a 35 or 45lb plate and grab the lip of the weight by pinching it inbetween your thumb and index finger. Great for grip strength.

X2 on farmers walk and hanging for time.

I also like to make a fatbar by using a towel, esp doing alt db curls with a towel wrapped around the handle. Might do these this weekend.
