Personally like the steam room better. Clears sinuses and promotes circulation.

Useless IMO unless you want to relax for a few minutes. People think it helps you burn fat, but you'd actually burn more fat in a room temperature (or colder) room than a sauna. You're just losing water, which will be replaced as soon as you drink it.

Majority of the loss is water weight...since you are not competing at a weight class there is really no point.

The increase of heat may cause an increase in metabolism, however, the dehydration effect is severe

I go to the sauna daily for an hour and have read and experienced a lot of benefits:

    better well being and relaxation
    better skin
    removes toxins
    workout your inner organs
loose more calories sitting down in the sauna then jogging the same time
muscle growth (did study on lab rats)
    faster muscle growth

    just to name a few

personally, i like the steam room after doing cardio, just to sweat out a little more, espically after a cheat day or not eating clean or after a night of drinking. personally.

Please tell me that you do not think sitting in a suana burns more calories than running for the same time?

I really doubt that sitting in a sauna burns more calories than jogging....come on....wishful thinking though

It is great for a nice detox after a solid workout. Really feels good and I bet if you do it regularly for a few months you will feel so much better internally.
