On a cycle, what should sets & reps look like?
Same sets & reps, just more weight b/c of the juice? Or more sets? I already do a West Side Barbell scheme that is taxing as hell (just sayin).

I worry more about your diet and rest....Dont change anything, train 100% everytime and eat and sleep. Listen to your body. When your ready to lift more, you will naturally.
This is the kind of stuff newbies ask as soon as they touch a weight for the first time. When using AAS, you should already have enough experience to know how your body responds to certain exercises, set/rep schemes, and training programs.
So in short, do what has been giving you results your whole bodybuilding journy so far. But what will determine your results is proper rest and diet.
Shouldn't juice help w/ recovery?Originally Posted by Johny-too-small
I have already changed my diet. I was only eating carbs w/ 1st meal, but I have added to that. My last meal is still only meat (protein) and veg, though.
Thanks for the other advice, but the part in bold is way off.Originally Posted by Atomini
I already weigh 220lb, and been training in one way or another (at different times for different things... sometimes sports training, others simply for appearance) since I was 8 y/o.
Thinking of juice only b/c I am already the size, strength of some guys who 'supplement.' I am interested to know where I would be if I enhanced.
Don't change anything still. I've seen alot of guys who use juice as an excuse to start training each muscle group even more frequently and they don't see the results as expected because they still overtrain. Though steroids reduce the likelihood of overtraining, they don't remove it. It's a big misconception. Keep doing the same frequency you've been doing so far and the gear will help you put on even more size. Remember, steroids don't create, they only enhance.Originally Posted by akaz13

Steroids increase actual muscle tissue recovery. However,I have learned that CNS, joint, and muscle recovery must be treated as the same entity for maximal results to occur. It's rarely about muscle recovery, it's about tendon, joint and CNS recovery! Meaning the joints, tendons and CNS of steroid users cannot withstand more than a natural bodybuilder regardless of how many steroids they take to enhance protein synthesis. Just because someone using steroids will experience faster muscle recovery does not mean they can get by with more volume and make maximal gains. The muscle tissue of natural bodybuilders also recovers at a fast rate but they still need to wait for CNS and joint recovery to take place prior to training again.
Anabolic steroids are known for increasing the rate at which a muscle recovers by accelerating protein synthesis and up-regulating neuro-muscular pathways. This combination makes "steroid users" stronger and bigger at a quicker rate than natural trainers. The extra strength allows those who are on steroids to generate more intensity and push heavier work loads. The additional stress breaks down more muscle tissue, increases joint deterioration, and puts a tremendous strain on the central nervous system.
^^^nice post.
good thing my tendons, joints, and CNS seem to be super human.....

Good informative thread. I wish I knew what the cns is as a newbie.
The central nervous system. It and the part of the peripheral nervous system, called the somatic nervous system control muscle contractions. They can only take so much before you start having problems, including symptoms in the autonomic nervous system.
train the same for sure your weights are gonna go up .... but dont overdo it at fisrt
eating + resting = success ! (thats when u grow)
