i have seen a few similar threads on this but not many were very well mapped out. i go to the gym with my gf, but i notice she just kinda does whatever. she asked me to put together a routine for her. she is in good shape already, former volleyball player.
i made it so she goes 4 days a week and then does whatever cardio classes she wants on her off days (not including type 2 cardio which takes place daily

)
i dont want to overwhelm her or discourage her. i love the fact she is showing interest... basically im wondering if this is too much too little or what...i found myself having trouble writing this out since my personal workout priciples arent exactly ideal for a female.
i made it like this...A/B/off repeat every week
Warm up on bike or elliptical for 5 – 10 mins
Workout A: Upper Body
• flat db bench 3 x 15
• one arm db row 3 x 12
• incline db bench 3 x 10
• cable rows 3 x 10 (wide or close grip)
• seated db press 3 x 10
• side lateral raises 1 x failure
• do whatever you want for arms
Workout B: Lower Body
o db lunges 3 x 15
o leg press or squats 3 x 10
o db step ups 3 x 15 or 10 mins stairmaster
o open/close legs thing 3 x 15
o calves 3 x 10
Do whatever preferred stomach exercises and 15-20 mins of cardio on the elliptical or treadmill at the end of both workouts.
i also wanted to note that im gonna have her to lat pulldowns from time to time, however, she has had shoulder injuries in the past and that movement irritates them.
