What muscle group benefits the most?

What muscle group benefits the most from a rest day...The muscle group you train before the rest day ( it has day of undisturbed rest where it is is first area to recieve nutrition coming in)....or the muscle group you train after the rest day ( you are fresh and body is full of stored available nutrients & well rested= better lifts)?

You should give every muscle group a rest day, imo. Training EOD is all you need.

they all do, for the reasons you yourself stated..also, your taxed CNS has a chance to recover, which improves mind/muscle connection for the next session

The reason I ask is because the original concensus was that you train your weak or lagging area the day following your day off so you will be fresh and recovered from previous training sessions. But at the same time, the muscles trained the day before a day off benefit from recieving 100% of the nutrients and attention from the body as it recovers and heals whereas say you train your chest and back monday and then your legs on tuesday, your chest and back recieve full attention monday night but after you train your legs your body focuses moreso on them and when you train your shulders and arms on wednesday they take a little attention from your legs and then thenext day is a rest day so though all muscle groups benefit, your arms and shoulders recieve the greatest isolatory recovery. I personally hit every muscle griup 2x a week. Monday-- Chest&Back Tuesday--Legs Wednesday--Shoulders&Arms
Thursday--off. I hit everything 3 days on...1 day off. My inspiration for the thread topic question was that my arms and shoulders seem to develope and maintain and even increase in strength whereas my chest doesn't seem to develope as quiuckly or as well...not even close. But it was like this even when i did 1x week split and arms and chest were were numerous days apart.
