Exclamation Upper Chest / Incline BP

I need to improve the upper portion of my chest..

would it be more beneficial to start off with Incline BP then flat, decline, etc?

Who here benches Incline before flat?..and prefers it.

    current chest routine-

    FLAT
    warmup-135 x 10
    155 x 5

    1st - 185 x 10

    2nd - 195 x 10

    3rd - 225 x 8

    4th - 185 x 10

    INCLINE

    1st - 135 x 10

    2nd- 155 x 10

    3rd - 185 x 10

    DECLINE

    1st - 135 x 10

    2nd - 155 x 10

    3rd - 175 x 10

    CABLE FLIES

    3 sets of 12

Man, I only do 8 or 9 sets total for chest. Intensity is more important than sets and reps, imo.

Start out with 5 sets of 15 degree declines to fatique the stronger regions of the chest and follow up with 5 sets of 15 degree inclines to finish off the weaker sections.

Doing Inclines first is not optimal unless they work the bulk of the chest mass better than declines and/or flat.

I incline first and have for years. I feel it gives my chest a much better workout. Plus makes my chest look fuller.

i worked flat bench first for a few years... but now incline is always my primary focus on chest day... incline bench and DB press and flies.

The problem with your upper chest is you are doing less sets for it. I would balance your chest work where the focus is on the sternal head for half and the clavicular head for the other half.
