    Cardio at nite?

Was wondering if doing cardio at night was a problem? I used to do it immediately after my workout but found it was killing my gains in both size and strength.I know cardio in the morning on a empty stomach is best but i cant do that until my new gym opens in april so i go at like 9pm and do it. I guess all i am asking is am i burning fat that late at night?

Its highly debated if morning cardio burns more fat than doing it later the day, however i still think morning cardio is generally the best.So its fine to do cardio at night, the only problem that may come up is some sleep difficulty

You dont wanna be playing about with your sleep really. Rests just as important as your workouts, couldnt you do your cardio after your gym session, but just half the intensity, or just cut it down to say two half hour sessions a week.

Like said above, the only problem with nighttime cardio is that it might affect your sleep. That's because your adrenals pump out cortisol during and after exercise, and this may not be the best thing when you want to be able to fall asleep.

If doing pwo-cardio is 'killing your gains', you obviously need to revise your duration... as well as your diet.

    re: nutrient timing.

pwo cardio is the base manner applied by a number of elite athletes.

'best' is when you can do it..and stick to it.

The jury is out on the most effective time.

Pre-bed can be effective... but can also affect quality of sleep.

So.. It's one manner I have never incorporated for any extended period of time.

    Good luck
