Talking Work out question - My First post

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and from the UK

Been training for 5-6 years in total and i'm just looking to perfect my technique and learn of others who are as addicted as me...

I wanted to know what is the best way to start a workout, for example is it better to start with compound excerises or vary it ?

I currently vary it day to day to shock the body.

Complete and utter variation is the best... like sometimes I'll start back day with deadlift so I can go super heavy and other days I'll start with pulldowns so I can go super heavy on them...and sometimes I start with dumbbell rows and so on... whatever you work first is most probably going to grow faster....

IMHO it's best to start with a compound exercise, my reasoning for this is lets say i'm going to do back and biceps, if i start with deadlift light and warmup with it for a couple sets then i've hit most of the muscles i'm going to workout that day and therefore have less chance of injury. also, working a compound muscle group is going to raise your heart rate, temp., and metabolism more then a smaller one so your body will "warm up" better then with a smaller muscle group
