I know what im doing in the gym, but i havent been there in years. It used to be customary to start with a couple of week full body work out before splitting. Anyone have an idea there? Am i wasting some valuble time doing full body work outs?

i never realy liked full body workouts, you will burn out so early into the workout that you will never be able to hit the muscles with the proper amount of energy.
If you want to do them at all wait till you have some muscle stamina built up
