The whole time I've been lifitng the trainers and "know-it-alls" have said that one must work opposing muscle groups in the same workout - chest/back; biceps/triceps - quads/hams, but I find that very inconvenient. Lets say I do chest/back on monday, then on tuesday I do quads/hams, wednesday i do cardio and abs..come thursday when I want to do biceps/triceps my biceps are still tired from doing lat and trap exercises and my tris are tired from chest exercises. Or lets say i did arms a couple days ago and now I wanna do my chest, but i cant bc my tris arent recovered. I can wait, but then I miss the optimal time window for working out my chest. The problem compounds itself week after week and hurts your progress imo.
So I work biceps/back - chest/triceps. Anyway this yoked gym friend of mine tells me I'm all wrong and that it's causing my back problems and shit. I've been lifting ever since high school and very sriously the past couple years, and have done well. But I wonder....is he right??
