Should I work out if I have a cold?

I have been kinda sick for the last couple of days. I am congested and cou***ng a little bit.

Obviously I am not going to go to the gym and spread whatever it is that I have right now, but would it be okay to exercise at home? Possibly go for a jog and get some cardio in?

I don't want to screw up the awesome progress that I have made so far. I am 5 weeks into a Test/Win cycle and things are going great.......except for the fact that I feel like shit right now.

    Thanks

umm. It all depends, if it's like a common cold i'd go to the gym and see how it goes and scale it from there. Jogging, id say yes mainly because it improves your cardiovascular system...

it's fine...just don't overdo the cardio though... if you "feel like $hit", your body's trying to tell you to rest! However, I find if I go workout when I do have the common cold (weather allergy kind, not infection), It helps clear my sinuses!

Man I always went when I was sick, I went with casts on my wrists and a broken ankle on crutches, not saying thats anything special but dont let the bugs slow ya down.

ON A SIDE NOTE** only you or your doctor knows the extend of you "COLD" but if its just the local bug I wouldnt sweat it. Granted if you got the shits becareful!

Don't lift if you have diarrhea.

Personally I don't workout while I'm sick but then again I get sick like once a year if that.. It depends on the severity as well

a friend of mine was at a Rugby College, so training was really hard and serious. he got really sick and didnt want to play any matches till he got better, he's coach made him play and he ended up stressing he's heart out so much that he had a minor heart attack, he was 20 years old.
