    lose body fat

    I want to get ripped. I want to get down to 6% bf... Right now I am 12% I am 185 lbs 6'0 24 years old... I work out 5 times a week but i dont run because i get terrible shin spints... My diet is clean... in order for me to see the results i want do i have to run or will 3 times a week on the elliptical at 65% for 30 min get me there?

    i'd up the frequency of your cardio.

    Also "eating clean" doesn't necessarily mean you're eating to burn fat and preserve muscle. Post your diet up in the diet forum.

    Gotta up the cardio, 65% of max is fine, but you need to go for at least 40 minutes and you need to do it at least 5 times a week if you're serious about getting down to 6%. I would say 6 times a week, leg day being your only day without cardio.

    damn thats alot of fuc****cardio on top of the heavy lifting...kind of unrealistic epically with school and work

    It can be done... just go to sleep 45 minutes earlier and wake up and do cardio. I usually have breakfast with me (egg white omelette, oatmeal w/ 1/2 scoop protein powder in it) to eat and then go right to class.

    Its all about time management and making things work.

    Yup, you've got to make it realistic, it needs to be a priority just like lifting, eating, school and work are priorities.
