    Should i keep a log?

i work bout 4 times a week but im so disorganized i just go and lift sometimes i dont know how much or if i have improved like for example if one day im doing biceps and i can life 60 then ill come back the next week and to 70 but i dont know if its because i got stronger or just because i had not tried lifting that much before i dont its weird
i mean i have gotten bigger so obviously i must be stronger but it would be nice to like see it in numbers i think i should keep a log
should i try to max out first and see what i can actually life and then see if that improves over time?

i like using a log, not only so i can see growth, but i make out my work out before i get there (sets/reps) and i dont leave until i get it all done. where as when i dont have my journal i seem to cut it short sometimes. another good reason is to make sure that you are changing your routines.
