The original iron man training guide?
Does anyone know where I can find the original iron man training guide? the one that was replaced by the slingshot training theory. thanks

The original ironman guide listed on this site was not the original-it was a half breed done by ironman (an ex-client/ex-friend of mine). I was the originator of the original ironman.
The 3-day per week STS split (where each muscle group is hit twice every 8 days) is very similar to the original ironman, in exception to the fact, there's better periodization and no rest-pause. After having been a personal trainer for 22 years now, I can say without hesitation that beyond failure training methods such as rest-pause spells disaster for most of you who want longevity in this sport. Slingshot Training is superior in so many ways!
I plan to list a sample 3 day split in the STS thread for those of you who like training each body part twice every 8 days. I will let you know when it's complete.Last edited by Ronnie Rowland; 04-16-2008 at 08:50 PM.
