    Wider Shoulders

Wanting to widen my shoulders because I have quite a thick torso and lats, so my top half looks out of proportion.

    Currently for shoulders I do:

    Side presses,
    wide militray presses,
    l-laterals.

    Once a week.

Do you think these exercises are sufficient? Think its wise to do it twice a week? Any good secondary exercises that I can use?

i have the same issue as you - thick but not really broad-shouldered - my only option is to add muscle to the old shoulders.

my shoulder workout consists of 3 working sets, 10 reps of each:

    military or dumbbell press
    dumbbell lateral raises
    shrugs (4 sets)
    rear delt raises
    sometimes front cable raises

i've recently done some work on form, especially on lateral raises - keeping my shoulders back, back straight and not cheating has helped out a lot.

Found it easier to get the form right with l-laterals instead of the standard lateral raises. Almost the same exercise.

I have problems doing deltoid raises. I feel like I'm not lifting it high enough or something. I don't feel much tension, even with heavy weights.

my shoulder workout consists of 1 set of barbell military presses for 3 sets rest paused.....the fact of the matter is, that the day you become the strongest you can in shoulder pressing, you will have the largest shoulders your body will allow "DC"

thats what I believe in anyway.

    my back workout consists of
    1 set hammer lat pulldowns
    1 set barbell rows
    1 set deadlifts

the deadlifts will grow the rear delts more efficiently than any other exercise.

hope that helps.....imo, what you need to be thinking is, bring up my entire body in muscle weight with heavy weights and monster eating....And nature will take its course, nothing else you can do.
