    knee raises
seated ab machine and i try to hit side crunches here

    wednesday

is this enough ab work.. i know diet and cardio is the trick but is this enough work for them?

wellonly you will know if its enough work on them....how long have you been doing this and what kind of results have you seen?

the only thing i dont like in your routine is the machine....just never been a fan of machines for abs but it may work for you. I like using a weight over my head while sitting on the swiss ball or hanging legs raises.

train em like you do every other muscle. Change it up and see what works best for you.

Once a week 8-12 sets total. Twice a week 4-6 sets total. Reverse crunches on a decline bench and weighted crunches on an Abench are the only 2 exercises you need.

Abs are just like every other muscle bro. They need to be trained hard, but also need rest.

That's true. I've read that book and he says to alternate crunches and reverse crunches every workout, doing 5 sets of 25 reps at each workout.
However, never take what a pro says as gospel. Just because it works for them, doesn't mean it will work for you.

What about abdominal vacuum exercises? Goal dependent?

I train my abs 2x/week and use weights with each exercise (except ab vacuum lol)
