Years ago when I first got started. All the oldtimers had me doing wide grip behind the head and front for back. Gave me a great base now I got nice lats and a thicker than normal back. Wow now I am the old timer.
wow!!!!in my dreams...........Na, not even in my dreams
lol thats sick
I think I'll just stick to regular pullups![]()
Not impressed. They are using a lot of leverage and momentum techniques used in gymnastics. Fun to watch, but strict form pullups will put anybody to the test and build quality muscle. The only guys that pullups dont work for are the really big dudes that can get injured from them. Several pros wont do them for that reason.
Its called the ghetto workout. ive seen one video where they are doing some even crazier shit Ill try to find a link to it. they gotta a dude who weighs 250 doing like 25 pullups at a time
Thats awesome!
How about some wide grip kiss pull ups ?

HAHA
pretty impressive
I disagree.
Training in this manner builds both muscle and functional strength.
These guys push their musculature to the limit and reap the benefits.
I tell people over and over that my first loss at my first bodybuilding contest 8 years ago was to a gymnast.
He did nothing outside of his usual calisthenic training 'cept a couple sets of leg presses for the last 4 or so weeks before the contest.
Yet he carried more muscle and crisp fullness than I did.
Granted, this isn't an easy way to train...and I much prefer to pull a 550 lbs deadlift than do a hand-stand push-up... but to dismiss this level of muscle recruitment is ridiculous.
