I just did a good shoulder workout today for the first time in ages. I just wanted to know if this is a good routine.

Front Lateral Raises
seated laterals 3x sets
Shoulder shrugs (BB) behind the back 3x sets
Seated Side Laterals 2x sets
Reverse grip Military Press 3x sets

Bad routine.
Stick to Clean and press, rear DB raises, and military press. That will give you mass, width, and overall shoulder development.

Looks similar to mine.
Just not that many sets.

thats alot, think im afraid to try the militarty reverse grip. uh regular power cleans kill me everytime so i would try that and not so many lateral raises.

Ronnnie might train like that in one dvd, but in others he does:
dumbell presses
lateral raises
cables
shrugs
thats its
Id say you doing a few to many, but I sometimes do 6 exercises

Hamish - IYO what would you say is the best overall mass and width builder for shoulder?
Would it be clean and press?

I think it is over kill on the side lateral raises. If you feel that you need to do a lot of volume possibly try a barbell press, dumbbell press, upright row, and a rear fly lateral raise superset.

Definitely the clean and press. I have been doing military's for my shoulders from the day I started working out, but ever since I incorporated the clean and press into my shoulder routine, I have seen a noticable difference in the appearance of my shoulders. They are getting broader, thicker, and more well-rounded.
Also, don't underestimate the power of deadlifts in creating massive shoulders.

I like to clean the weight from the floor, not from arm's length as shown in the video. But either way, theyre both very effective.
