why can't you do regular dead lifts on an olympic bar? olympic bars aren't just for SLDLs.

that "box" is actually called a trap bar. It was designed to be used to isolate the trapezius muscles during shrugs. people use it for deadlifts also, but i don't think this teaches a true deadlift form. I think it turns a deadlift into more of a squat type of exercise by the way the weight is held.

Iv never seen one in any of the gyms I have been to. Olympic bar is the standard deadlift equipment. Most gyms think thats enough.

that bar is worthless that's why most places don't have one......the only people that use it to deadlift are too big of pansyasses to actually deadlift.......load up your "trap bar" and go to a powerlifting meet and see what happens.
