    Post-Cardio Nutrition

    Sup fellas,

I usually run outside for about 4 miles twice ever week. I usually drink a protein shake and a lot of water right after my run. Is this good post-cardio nutrition? Advice please.

    Thanks,
    C

Depends on your goals. Usually if you are doing cardio for purely aesthetic bodybuilding purposes, you shouldn't be running. Walk on an inclined treadmill, ride a bike, or do an eliptical at 65-75% MHR. Personally, I would include some carbs post-cardio whether I am bulking or cutting. A protein shake with some oats is better than a protein shake and water in my opinion, but some "real food" protein would be best, such as chicken, egg whites, etc, as well as some oats. Hope that helps.
