sooo I read that if you do cardio on an empty stomach, you actually burn muscle. Well I don't want to do that. But I would like to know what is best to eat before I go? Fill me in asap, I'm so sleepy and I'm waking up for the gym in the am. Thanks![]()

I've been looking for a solution for some pre run nutrition. Thanks for the posts. I'll try some of the bcaa's.
i think a scoop whey an hour before am cardio keeps me from going catabolic. Plus after a night of sleep i feel my muscles need protein for synthesis asap
How long of a cardio workout are we talking here? I wake up, drink 16-32oz of room temp water and go cardio for 30-45 min at 140-145bmp. Then I drink a protien shake and about an hour after that I have my first meal. So its about 2 hours after I wake before I eat solid food.
I can't imagine the catobolism being that bad. hmmm, maybe I am way off here. If you are on Clen, clen is an anti-catabolic, so wouldn't that help some?
The idea of the water is to trick your brain into thinking it is not hungry. So to keep your body from doing all the bad things it does when its hungry. Like eat muscle.
Is my old school thoughts way off now?
Also, the whole idea of AM cardio would be totally defeated by any caloric consumption before hand. If you raise the blood sugar levels, you cannot depleat your glycogen and force your body to turn to fat as a food source.
i think after one hour the scoop of whey protein will be assimilated, especially after a fasting state from sleep.
Here is the deal....do a boat load for 3-4 days....take BCAA's before and after.....assess if you lost muscle or just got leaner and go from there!
