    How fast do the calves recover?

    My calves are definitely one of my weaker body parts, I train M/W/F with legs on monday. If I hit calves on monday, can I hit em again for a few sets on wednesday, and again for a few sets on friday? I feel that within 48 hours they should be recovered enough and I really want to bring them up. Or should I avoid risking overtraining them and just do them once a week?

    Yeah calves are a major genetic gift. You either have them or you gotta work your ass off for them. You seem to be doing it right. Calves are one of those that you gotta figure out for yourself, IMO. I do 2on 1off 2on 2off with them. I usually switch the way I train them to keep them confused. One day heavy, the next high reps, the one day superset the hell out of them. I'm still trying to bring them up....

    I love to work calves and hit em twice a week. Once on shoulder and arms day, then again with chest. Seated with high reps, and standing with heavy weight. Works pretty good for me.
