what do u make of my routine?

    mon - chest/ triceps
    tues - cardio/day off
    wed - biceps/back/forearms
    thurs - swimming
    fri - shoulders/legs
    sat - football
    sun - day off

i do on average between 8-10 reps heavy on each exercise and try to change my routine slighty eachweek alternating the exercises so i dont over do any bodypart.

also do u guys ever train the smaller muscles individually? i.e lats, traps, neck etc?

my stats: 26yrs old, 6ft 4ins, aprrox 19 stone, been training on and off for 4/5 years and solid for last 4 months....im looking to beef up but burn some fat at the same time.

my diet is very good including 3 whey protein shakes a day, oats and lots of high protein foods, i am making good progress on this regime losing fat and bulking up with muscle.

let me no what u guys think.....

I like it but I'm still learning. I might give your workout a try and let you know what I think.

kool creed let me no how u get on...ive tried training everyday and in different ways but ive found this routine works the best for me...i believe as long as you do intense sessions than this is a good routine and doing 1 bodypart per week justifys the rest periods...ive felt more gain wen having days off from lifting and can lift more weight.

need to get your ab training in there too. Shoulders on legs day is kinda different. Seems like a long day in the gym imo. You have plenty of days off to fit in a shoulder/ab day.

    I agree.
    How about:
    Tues- Legs/abs
    Fri- Shoulders/abs
If you still need cardio after swimming and football, maybe monday?

yeh i sometimes give the legs a miss depending on how much running/football i play...pete you'd recomend 2xabs training per week? like crunches/situps etc?
