    Training for soreness

OK. When I first started training I went through the sore muscles like most. As time went sorness is just about impossible no matter how I train. Heavy, High Rep, you name it. I get great huge pumps and thats it. Is this normal not to become sore anymore? Very rare occatioun for me. Am I doing somthing wrong?

Go for the pump and not the soreness. Soreness might feel good the next day but its not a method of measuring progress.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like people I train with get sore more often than I and I couldnt understand why. Although I did slam my chest pretty good yesterday and I felt it today. Doing 4 sets of 20 @ three exersizes. Last two to three sets were forced sets and it seemed to work. But that is good information because I thought I was doing something wrong. Getting massive hard pumps every time. Thanks agian.

I do not feel like a big fan of soreness right now.. I took 3 weeks off, and hit the chest moderately hard yesterday.. Today I feel like I'm pretty damn sore.. Well actually one side of my body, feels like Its F'ed up, but hopefully its just hardcore sore.

Why did you ask a question with a question? or was that an inflection?

Generally speaking, if you want strength and size you will be in the 6-10 rep range. Depends on your goals. I was just wondering is all.

I do what you are saying. I just like to change things up a bit every now and than. 45 years old and joints are really starting to hurt so I figured I would try droping in weight alittle and go for reps awhile.
