Hey Guys,
Fairly new to this site, wanted to get some advice on training. I am 31, not in any shape that I should be (used to be Military, play high level football too) however let myself go over the previous 2 years.

I am 176cm, 88kg... weight would be fine if it was muscle...sadly not.

Where can I train in Melbourne that is a real gym? Not some cater for the ladies, but free weights, good atmosphere etc?? I want a gym....not a health club!

Also...I have trained before (always on & off), but getting back into it, find it patronizing that most gyms want you to follow there workout plans (which I am not sure are for me).

Any advice on what usually works best to achieve results, how to keep motivation up. I know these are fairly lame questions, and you can usually find a bunch of stuff on this, however I find it's mostly b*llsh*t.

Anyone a personal trainer? I am even willing pay for this advice.

I know the same line about starting slow, get any personal trainer...but the truth be known, when you want to body build, you don't follow the normal run of the mill stuff these guys trott out.
