    Recovery and Rest time

    Been doing a new training split and things are going better than before. Currently am doing a 3 on 1 off approach. My question is I know your bodys CNS it what really has to recovry and stuff in order to make progressive gains, why resting is important.

    Was wondering, if I do cardio for an hour on my off days, no weight training just cardio on off days will this negativly effect my recovery or in order to ully recover must I stay out of the gym entirely?

    what type of cardio?

    If its hard all out sprints and such, yes possibly.

    But if its treadmill walking (65% MHR), your fine.

    I'll second this..

    Keep cardio to twice a week if you are struggling with muscular weight gains.
