M&F bench press routine
So i was reading a muscle and fitness magazine the other day and they had an article in there on how to really pound your chest and add some size and strength. Basically you set up a bench at a squat rack and adjust the safety's so that they are just a little short of full arm extension when your holding the bar. Then set the bar on the safeties and load it up with weight after you are warmed up. Put a litttle more than your max on the bar and then do 3-4 sets of 3-5 reps at this height. Then lower the safeties down a notch and do 3-4 sets again of 3-5 reps. And continue lowering it down until your about at chest level. And on each rep you start with the bar on the safeties then push it up and then lower it back down until it touches the safeties then do the next rep. And also obviously adjust the weight accordingly as you lower the safeties.
But basically what they were getting at is it has to do with doing reverse reps and somehow like the build up of energy or something. But I did this for my chest routine on one of my two chest days and man it really killed my chest, it felt good i hadnt really gotten my chest muscles that sore in a long time. And my pecs seemed to feel fuller and my strength really began to jump up some by the next week(part of this could of been my tren kicking in) but still it seemed to do some good.
But i just wanted to know what you all thought of doing this routine occassionally or if you all thought it was crap lol
